- If your server latency exceeds 100 ms, it indicates that changes to your settings might be necessary to reduce lag.
Disable VPN
After enabling performance stats, close Roblox for now. We’ll make some changes outside the game to ensure everything is working properly.
- Open Windows Settings.
- Go to Network & Internet and navigate to the VPN section.

This process takes a minute or two, and it can help fix many common connection problems that could be causing high ping.
Monitor Network Activity with Resource Monitor
Sometimes, other applications running in the background may be using up your network bandwidth, slowing down your Roblox experience.
Steps to Identify Network-Heavy Applications:
- Open Task Manager.
- In the Performance tab, navigate to the Resource Monitor.
- Go to the Network section and expand Processes with Network Activity.
It may take a few seconds for all the processes to load, showing which applications are using your network. In my case, apps like Chrome, Steam, or Discord are usually the ones hogging my bandwidth.

Compare this ping to the one you experience while playing Roblox. If your ping on Roblox is significantly higher, the issue might be related to the Roblox server you’re connected to, rather than your home network.

Finally, if the problem lies with the Roblox server itself, you can try switching servers.
